Kanto Audio Launches Tuk Grand and Tuk 2nd Gen Speakers

Kanto Audio is stepping further into the hi-fi space with the launch of the Tuk Grand and Tuk (2nd Generation), two new powered speaker systems designed to deliver a more refined listening experience while keeping connectivity and ease of use in mind.
Both models feature an Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter, an aluminum concave woofer, Class-D amplification, and custom DSP tuning. Kanto says the redesigned AMT tweeter is designed to provide smoother, more natural highs while maintaining the detail the Tuk lineup is known for.
The flagship Tuk Grand features a larger cabinet and 6-inch aluminum woofer, delivering 160W RMS and a frequency response of 40Hz–22kHz. The second-generation Tuk uses a 5.25-inch woofer, 130W RMS of power, and a 50Hz–22kHz frequency response.
Both speakers offer dual RCA, optical, USB-C, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity with aptX Adaptive, AAC, and SBC support. A selectable subwoofer output also gives users the option to expand their system.
The Tuk Grand comes in Matte Black, Matte White, and Matte Walnut, while the Tuk adds Matte Burl and Gloss Butter to its finish options.

Why It Matters
The new Tuk lineup is an interesting step for Kanto as the company pushes further into the hi-fi market. While the upgraded drivers and DSP tuning should make for a more refined listening experience on paper, the real question will be how much of a difference these changes make compared with previous Tuk models.
We're also particularly interested in how both speakers perform in near-field listening setups, where Kanto has traditionally had a strong presence. With their combination of compact powered-speaker convenience and more serious hi-fi hardware, the new Tuks could be an appealing option for desktop listeners who want high-quality sound without building a more complicated audio system.
