TDM. has officially launched the Neo, a unique pair of wireless headphones that can transform into a portable Bluetooth speaker with a simple twist. Designed for both personal listening and sharing music with others, the headphones feature a patented twisting mechanism built into the headband, allowing users to switch between the two modes without needing a separate device. Inside are four 40mm drivers, with two inward-facing drivers handling audio in headphone mode and two outward-facing drivers delivering sound when used as a speaker, with 5 watts of power per side.
Battery life is another standout feature, with TDM. claiming over 200 hours of playback in headphone mode and up to 16 hours in speaker mode. USB-C fast charging provides a full charge in approximately three hours, while a quick five-minute charge offers up to eight hours of headphone playback. The headphones also support Bluetooth 6.0, along with a multi-array microphone system with environmental noise cancellation (ENC) for calls in either mode. Four physical buttons handle power, volume, and mode controls, while the twisting mechanism can be customized to trigger different actions. Other features include dual-layer memory foam ear cushions, a vegan leather headband, and a weight of 340 grams. The Neo companion app also offers customizable EQ settings, Game Mode, a device locator, and additional controls.

Why It Matters
Okay, this is pretty neat. Being able to switch between headphones and a Bluetooth speaker with a simple twist is a clever idea, especially when you want the flexibility of both without carrying around two separate devices. One thing we're hoping to see is some solid safety features built into the transition between modes. The last thing you want is to switch from speaker mode to headphones and suddenly have music blasting directly into your ears.
We're also curious to hear how the Neo sounds in both modes, since headphones and speakers deliver sound in very different ways. Getting good audio quality out of both could be a challenge, so we're looking forward to seeing how well TDM. pulls it off.
