Before becoming a full-time technology reviewer, Indiana spent over a decade working throughout Central Florida in the residential and commercial low-voltage industry. During that time, he designed and installed home theaters, whole-home audio systems, networking equipment, smart home automation, surveillance systems, and structured wiring for clients ranging from homeowners to businesses.

His professional background is backed by more than 25 industry certifications and training from many of the world's leading technology companies, including CEDIA, Lutron, Crestron, Savant, URC, and Control4. Real-World Installation Experience

My perspective on technology doesn't stop at the review bench. I've spent more than 15 years working professionally in the low-voltage and home technology industry and own Emptor Audio & Home Technology, an Orlando-area installation company specializing in home theater, networking, surveillance, smart home technology, and AV.

That means many of the products and technologies I write about aren't things I've simply tested for a few weeks. I've installed, integrated, troubleshot, serviced, and recommended them for real clients in real homes.

That experience plays a major role in how I review products at Ultimate Technology Reviews. I'm interested not only in whether something performs well during testing, but whether it's easy to install, reliable, easy for normal people to use, and something I'd actually feel comfortable recommending to one of my clients.
