The B200A is aimed at bedrooms, apartments, home offices, and gaming setups where a full-size sound system may not be practical. It combines Dolby Atmos, a built-in subwoofer, and Yamaha's Bass Extension mode to provide a more expansive soundstage and stronger low-frequency performance from its compact design.
One of the more notable features is Yamaha's Clear Voice technology, which is designed to improve dialogue clarity. The B200A also includes four sound modes—Movie, Standard, Stereo, and Game—allowing listeners to adjust the presentation based on what they're watching or playing.
Connectivity includes HDMI eARC/ARC, optical, 3.5mm AUX, and Bluetooth, making the soundbar compatible with TVs, computers, gaming setups, and other devices. It can be placed beneath a TV or monitor, positioned on a desk or media console, or wall-mounted.
Pricing & Availability
The Yamaha B200A will be available in November 2026 for $249.95.
Why It Matters
Compact soundbars are nothing new, but Yamaha is addressing one of the more frustrating problems with modern TV and streaming audio: dialogue that can be difficult to hear clearly. As streaming content increasingly mixes quiet conversations with loud music and effects, a dedicated dialogue-enhancement feature could make a meaningful difference for everyday viewing.
The B200A also looks like an appealing option for people who want better TV and gaming audio without giving up much space. Its small footprint, built-in subwoofer, and Dolby Atmos support offer plenty of functionality for the price, but the big question will be how effective Clear Voice actually is. If Yamaha can make voices noticeably easier to understand without making them sound unnatural or thin, that could become one of the B200A's biggest advantages.
