The new edition features a deep RAL 5011 blue finish with redesigned side panels that transition from matte to gloss. A mirror-polished surface and clear varnish give the speaker a highly reflective, light-responsive appearance, while a refined Devialet logo completes the updated design.
Despite the dramatic makeover, the Pulse Blue retains the acoustic technology of the Phantom Ultimate 98 dB. Devialet says the speaker delivers a frequency range of 18 Hz to 25 kHz, up to 98 dB SPL, and supports high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/192 kHz.
The speaker uses Devialet's ADH New-Gen hybrid amplification, SAM speaker processing, HBI bass technology, and AVL adaptive volume technology. It can also be used individually, as a stereo pair, or as part of a multi-room system, with support for AirPlay, Google Cast, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, and UPnP.
Devialet is also introducing a matching Tree Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue stand, giving owners the option to turn the unusual speaker into an even more prominent piece of the room.
The Devialet Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue is available for pre-order starting September 15, 2026, through Devialet stores, Devialet.com, and authorized retailers. The speaker is priced at $2,200, while the matching Tree stand costs $349.
Why It Matters
Devialet's Phantom speakers have never exactly been designed to blend into the background, and the Pulse Blue edition takes that philosophy to another level. The unusual shape combined with the glossy, highly reflective blue finish makes this a speaker that is going to attract attention before you even press play.
But the bigger question is whether the sound performance is just as wild as the design. Devialet is packing some serious technology into the compact enclosure, including deep-bass reproduction down to 18 Hz and high-resolution audio support. We'll have to hear it for ourselves to find out whether the listening experience lives up to the visual statement.
The matching Tree stand is also a cool addition, especially for anyone who wants to make the Phantom more of a centerpiece. At $349, though, it's not exactly a small accessory purchase when you're already spending $2,200 on the speaker.
