SIVGA has announced the new Lyrebird, a premium hybrid in-ear monitor that packs four different driver technologies into a handcrafted design—all for $149.
The Lyrebird combines a 10mm polymer composite dynamic driver, balanced armature, micro planar driver, and 9.2mm piezoelectric ceramic driver, with each driver handling a different portion of the frequency range. The goal is a more natural, spacious presentation with deep bass, detailed vocals, smooth treble, and improved high-frequency extension.
Beyond the acoustics, SIVGA is putting a strong emphasis on craftsmanship. Each pair features handcrafted stabilized wood faceplates, CNC-machined aluminum housings, and a detachable 0.78mm 2-pin cable, making future cable upgrades simple.
The included cable is equally impressive, using a hybrid mix of Furukawa OFC, silver-plated copper, and gold-plated silver-copper conductors, terminating in a 4.4mm balanced connector for compatible DACs and headphone amplifiers. A leather carrying case and multiple silicone ear tips round out the package.
The SIVGA Lyrebird is available now for $149 through SIVGA's online store, Amazon, and select retailers.
Why It Matters
The sub-$200 IEM market has become one of the most competitive categories in personal audio, with manufacturers constantly experimenting with hybrid driver configurations and premium materials once reserved for flagship models.
On paper, the Lyrebird checks nearly every enthusiast box: a quad-driver hybrid design, balanced cable, upgradeable 2-pin connectors, handcrafted wood faceplates, and premium accessories—all at a price point that's becoming increasingly crowded. Whether the sound lives up to the impressive spec sheet remains to be seen, but the Lyrebird certainly positions itself as another compelling option for audiophiles looking to maximize performance without spending flagship money.
Our Take
SIVGA continues to blur the line between mid-range and premium audio gear. At $149, the Lyrebird offers the kind of driver technology and premium construction that would have cost significantly more just a few years ago. If it delivers on its acoustic promises, it could become one of the more interesting value-focused IEM launches of the year.
