Budget projectors usually go one of two ways: they oversell what they can actually do, or they cut so many corners that it's hard to recommend them to anyone. The Aurzen EAZZE D1R Air is one of the rare ones that just does the basics well, and honestly, that's enough to make it worth your money.
It's not trying to go toe-to-toe with home theater projectors that cost several thousand dollars, and it doesn't need to. What it offers instead is native 1080p resolution, built-in Roku, auto focus, auto keystone, and about 300 ANSI lumens of brightness — a genuinely solid spec sheet for something in this price range.
Design & Build quality
Aurzen nailed the form factor here. This thing is compact and light enough that moving it between rooms — or throwing it in a bag for a trip — is genuinely easy, and that portability ends up being one of its best features. It doesn't feel like a projector you have to build a permanent setup around.
Setup itself is painless too. Auto focus and keystone correction both work well, so you're not stuck fighting with menus before you can actually watch something. If you like this form factor check out our review of the Dangbei N2 here!
Picture Quality
For the price, I came away impressed. The 1080p image is sharp, colors look good, and movies, shows, and sports all hold up well once the room is dark.
My one gripe is brightness. At 300 ANSI lumens, it's fine once the lights are off, but it struggles in daylight or any room with a lot of ambient light. If Aurzen bumped this up by another 100-200 lumens in a future version, it'd be an even easier recommendation. For nighttime viewing though, it's a good experience. This is really the only downside I could find with this projector. Looking for a better picture? Check out our review of the Dangbei N3 Max here!
Audio Performance
This is the weak point, like pretty much all projectors in this class. The built-in speakers get the job done for casual background viewing, but they don't have the depth or punch you'd want for an actual movie night — dialogue comes through fine(thank god), but action scenes and music fall flat.
The fix is simple: pair it with a soundbar, a set of powered speakers, or even just a Bluetooth speaker, and the whole experience improves dramatically. If you're already putting together any kind of home theater setup, you're probably running external audio anyway, so this isn't a dealbreaker.

Smart Features
Having Roku built in is a real convenience. No streaming stick to plug in, no clunky third-party OS to deal with — it's ready to go out of the box, and the interface is genuinely one of the more polished ones you'll find on a budget projector. My preference? Grab a Roku ultra!
Value
This is where the D1R Air really earns its spot. You're getting native 1080p, built-in smart streaming, automatic image correction, and a design compact enough to take anywhere — for a price that's hard to beat. Sure, brighter projectors exist, but you'll pay a lot more to get there. Overall, it’s solid for the money and worth it! Looking for something more afforable yet? Final Thoughts
The EAZZE D1R Air isn't pretending to be a dedicated home theater projector, and it doesn't need to be. It's a fun, capable projector with a sharp picture, a great smart TV experience, and a form factor that makes it easy to actually use — bedroom, dorm, backyard, camping trip, wherever. I'd like a bit more brightness and better built-in audio, but at this price, those are easy compromises to make.
If you're looking for an affordable projector for movie nights or casual use, this one's an easy recommendation.
