Creative Technology has unveiled the Creative XF1, a new Hi-Res desktop speaker system designed for music, gaming, movies and content creation. Launching first in Japan, the XF1 combines 72W RMS of bi-amplified power with dual Hi-Res Audio certification and modern connectivity.
The 2.0 speaker system features a fully active two-way design with dedicated amplification for each driver, FEA-optimized 3-inch woofers, and a frequency response of 55Hz to 40kHz. It supports high-resolution audio over USB-C and analog inputs, while Bluetooth 6.0 with LDAC enables wireless Hi-Res streaming.
Connectivity includes USB-C, Bluetooth, 3.5mm AUX, and a dedicated subwoofer output for users looking to expand into a 2.1 setup. Creative also includes its Nexus app, which offers a 10-band parametric EQ along with more than 120 preset EQ profiles covering music genres and popular games.
Available in black and white, the Creative XF1 is priced at $179.99 and is available now.
Why It Matters
Desktop speakers have become increasingly important as more people work, game and consume media from a single setup. With Hi-Res support, bi-amplified drivers, subwoofer expansion and extensive EQ customization, the Creative XF1 aims to offer features typically found in more expensive desktop audio systems while remaining under the $200 mark. The around $200 is right in the sweet spot for most users, so this should be a hit!
