NothingProjector has announced two new Matte White projector screens designed to help home theater enthusiasts get more out of their projectors than a standard painted wall can provide. The new lineup includes both a Motorized Floor Rising Screen and a Fixed Frame Screen, giving buyers options for dedicated theaters as well as multi-purpose living spaces. Both models are compatible with long-throw, short-throw, and ultra-short-throw (UST) projectors and feature a 1.3 gain screen surface that's designed to produce a brighter, more vibrant image than projecting directly onto a wall. The screens also support wide viewing angles and are built to maintain a smooth, wrinkle-free surface for improved picture quality.

The Motorized Floor Rising Screen is aimed at rooms where a permanent screen isn't practical, allowing it to disappear into its housing when not in use. Meanwhile, the Fixed Frame Screen is designed for dedicated home theaters and adds HDR10+ support along with enhanced contrast for users looking to maximize image quality.

Why It Matters

Projectors continue to improve every year, but the screen remains one of the most overlooked parts of a home theater. A purpose-built projection screen can often provide a brighter, more consistent image than a painted wall, allowing owners to get more out of the projector they already have.

Our Take

Projectors usually get all the attention, but the screen can have just as much impact on the final image. It's good to see manufacturers continuing to invest in projection surfaces that work with today's laser projectors while giving buyers options for both permanent theaters and flexible living spaces.
