The Wuben X5 is one of those flashlights that immediately feels right the moment you pick it up.

It's compact enough to disappear into a pocket while still offering plenty of brightness for everyday tasks. Whether you're searching under the hood of your truck, walking the dog at night, or digging through a toolbox, the X5 strikes an excellent balance between portability and performance.

Design & Build Quality

Wuben absolutely nailed the size.

The X5 feels solid without being bulky, and the shape makes it comfortable to hold for extended periods. The machining is excellent, the controls are easy to reach, and it simply feels like a premium EDC flashlight.

It's the kind of light you'll actually carry instead of leaving at home.

What Could Be Better

My biggest complaint is the battery system.

Instead of using one of the common replaceable cylindrical batteries found in many enthusiast flashlights, the X5 uses its own rechargeable design. While convenient, it limits flexibility if you prefer swapping in a fresh battery instead of waiting to recharge.

I'm also a little concerned about the exposed USB charging port over the long term. Even with weather protection, it's another opening where dirt, dust, and water can eventually become an issue if you're using the light in tougher environments.

Who's It For?

If you're looking for a compact, well-built flashlight that's easy to carry every day, the Wuben X5 is an excellent choice. It's especially well suited for homeowners, DIYers, mechanics, and anyone who wants a dependable light without carrying something oversized. Want more portability for your life? Final Verdict

The Wuben X5 gets the fundamentals right. It's compact, comfortable to carry, well-built, and delivers excellent everyday performance. While I would have preferred a more standard battery system and have some long-term concerns about the USB charging port, neither issue is enough to overshadow what is otherwise an outstanding EDC flashlight.
