The MODEL 70 delivers 50 watts per channel through a Class A/B amplifier with a larger toroidal transformer, HDAM circuitry, and a built-in MM phono stage for vinyl enthusiasts. It also adds features today's listeners expect, including HDMI ARC, Bluetooth with aptX Adaptive, and support for wireless headphone streaming.
The companion CD 70 is built around the same high-performance DAC and HDAM technology, while adding USB playback for high-resolution formats including FLAC, ALAC, AIFF, and DSD. A dedicated headphone amplifier and upgraded chassis construction round out the package for CD collectors and digital music fans alike.
Marantz says the CD 70 will be available beginning August 15 through authorized dealers.
Why It Matters
The MODEL 70 and CD 70 show that Marantz isn't abandoning traditional hi-fi—it’s updating it. By combining classic two-channel performance with features like HDMI ARC and high-resolution streaming support, Marantz is making premium stereo systems more appealing to today's music lovers.
Our Take: This feels like exactly the update the PM6007 lineup needed. HDMI ARC, modern Bluetooth support, and refined styling bring Marantz's entry-level hi-fi series into 2026 without losing the warm, musical sound the brand is known for. If you've been looking for a premium two-channel system that works just as well with your TV as it does your music collection, these deserve a close look. Best CD Player Deals on Amazon!
