DuRoBo has officially launched the Krono, its 6.13-inch ePaper productivity device, with availability now expanding to both the United States and the United Kingdom after its debut at CES 2026.

Designed as a distraction-free alternative to a traditional tablet, the Krono features a 300 PPI Carta 1200 ePaper display, an octa-core processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 3,950mAh battery. The device also includes a unique Smart Dial for navigating menus, turning pages, adjusting brightness, and quickly accessing note-taking features.

Running Android with full Google Play Store support, the Krono offers built-in AI-powered tools for voice transcription, idea capture, writing assistance, and news summaries. Recent software updates have also added a native web browser, expanded language support, wireless file transfers, and improved compatibility with reading apps like Kindle and Kobo.

The DuRoBo Krono is available now for $279.99 in the United States and £249 in the UK through Amazon and the company's website. Buy them on Amazon here!

Why It Matters

While tablets continue to add more features and distractions, the Krono takes the opposite approach. Its ePaper display, minimalist design, and productivity-focused software are aimed at readers, writers, and professionals looking for a device that encourages focus rather than constant notifications. If the hardware and software live up to their promise, the Krono could become an interesting alternative to traditional Android tablets for users who primarily read, write, and take notes. We'll reserve final judgment until we've had the opportunity to review one ourselves.
